Ann Collins
Ann is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Scrum Master (CSM) with 25 years of project management experience and over 30 years working in technology. Her experience includes mobile/web technology and business process analysis, improvement, and implementation.
She is skilled in facilitating client discovery workshops where she leads clients through clearly defining their vision and needs, understanding their audience through persona development and planning for project risk. Ann has earned the Foundations in Design Thinking Certificate from IDEO where she learned techniques in Observation and Immersive Empathy to better understand and see things from the client point of view. Rutgers Health, Lenovo, US Railroad Retirement Board, American Library Association and Teachers’ Retirement System of the State of Illinois are examples of organizations she’s led through successful discovery workshops.
Ann has held multiple security clearances and has managed large government and private sector software and infrastructure projects. She’s successfully managed projects for Portland State University, American Library Association, CBP, DOD, South Florida and Southwest Florida Water Management Departments, and USDA to name a few.
Previously, Ann has worked as a PMO Director, project manager and program manager with a number of companies and organizations, including Promet Source, Austin Information
Technology Center (AITC) Veterans Affairs, 21st Century Technologies, Infoglide Software, Texas Department of Human Services and Texas Education Agency. Ann holds an AAS in Systems Analysis from Indian Hills Community College and completed the Software Project Management Certificate Program at the University of Texas at Austin’s Software Quality Institute.
